All Aboard Washington is planning an event to be held at the Northern Pacific Railway Museum at Toppenish, WA.

Date:  Saturday, August 8, 2026

Time:  11:00am to 3:00pm  

Cost : $ 40.00 per person

What is included:

• Admission to the museum
• AAWA private use of the Northern Pacific dining car for the day. 
• Lunch: choice of various sandwich options by Panera Bread including chips and cookie.
• Soft drinks and bottled water courtesy of AAWA.
• Guided tour of the museum grounds.
• Opportunity for a ride on a speeder and/or push car.
• Diesel powered train trip to the city of “Nowhere”.      

Required to make this event happen:

• We've made the minimum, so the event is happening! Registrations are still open!
• Maximum of 40 people (dining car capacity).
• Payment of $40 per person required in advance (to reserve the dining car).  If the event is cancelled, payment will be refunded.         

This is a fantastic opportunity to see the recently restored NP1364 steam locomotive and a great price for a train ride, museum tour, dining car reservation for all day, and lunch.

Unfortunately, Northern Pacific (NP) locomotive 1364 cannot be fired up for our AAWA August 8, 2026 event. NP 1364 is required to have an annual inspection by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). The annual inspection is due September 17, 2026. Some disassembly of NP 1364 is required for the inspection. Museum workers are on a constrained timeline to have the annual inspection completed by September 15, 2026 because the Northern Pacific Railway Historical Association has their annual convention scheduled for Toppenish from September 16 -19, 2026. NP 1364 (under steam) is a planned highlight of the convention. We will be able to see, touch, & feel NP 1364 up close on August 8, however not under steam.
